From the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) Social Action area, and in collaboration with the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI México), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), la Universidad La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA), and the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), solidarity was celebrated through the International Solidarity Campaign – Toy Drive held between November and December 2025.
For the campaign’s third edition, we were able to encourage the social participation of our educational community and contribute to the integral formation of children in vulnerable situations.
We thank all our collaborators, students, and employees who have participated by donating a toy, book, or school supplies to FUNIBER offices and universities across different countries. We have been able to collect more than 700 toys that have been donated to children from 10 different countries across the Americas, Africa, and Europe. Each FUNIBER office and university locally organized the gathering and delivery of toys and other donations to social institutions, in some cases with recreational activities and snacks.
The director of FUNIBER’s office in the Dominican Republic shares:
We were able to collect 275 toys that were delivered to the Patronato Benéfico Oriental (PBO), who, within the framework of their USAID Project ‘Youth Leaders’ community impact activities, develop solidarity actions in favor of children and young people in vulnerable communities. FUNIBER Dominican Republic once again fulfills its social commitment by developing specific actions that benefit the most vulnerable, taking into account not only training scholarships, and free conferences that promote knowledge but also projects that raise awareness and impact the institution’s environment.
The campaign was possible thanks to the institutions that participated in the delivery of donations.
