The Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), through its International Academic Network, continues to promote the generation and dissemination of high-quality scientific knowledge. As part of this effort, it is publishing a study in which Dr. Irma Domínguez, academic coordinator of the Foundation’s Health and Nutrition Department and a member of the Research Group on Food, Nutritional Biochemistry, and Health at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO)—an institution belonging to the university network—is participating. Researchers from FUNIBER and UNEATLANTICO are participating in a study on autonomous drones to improve rescue operations in tunnel accidents

Dr. Roberto Marcelo Alvarez, executive director of the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (FUNIBER) for Argentina and Uruguay, and Dr. Yini Airet Miró, a research professor at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (Universidad Europea del Atlántico, UNEATLANTICO), an institution that is part of the Foundation’s International University Network, are participating in a new study alongside an international team of researchers. The research proposes an emergency response system based on autonomous drones and multi-agent reinforcement learning to expedite the search for victims in tunnel accidents. Read more

Dr. Maurizio Battino, director of the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER) at its headquarters in Italy and a renowned scientific researcher in the field of nutrition, has participated in a study titled “The Health Benefits of Tamarindus indica: A Focus on the Relationship Between Phytochemical Composition and Physiological Effects.” This study reviews the nutraceutical value of Tamarindus indica, commonly known as tamarind, and its relationship to phytochemical composition and various physiological effects beneficial to health. The 5th International Congress on Climate Action (CIACC 2026) opens, organized by FUNIBER, the European University of the Atlantic, and the Business and Climate Foundation

The Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and the Enterprise and Climate Foundation (FEC) have inaugurated the fifth edition of the International Climate Action Congress (CIACC 2026), a leading international forum that brings together experts, companies, and institutions to analyze the main challenges and opportunities of the climate transition from scientific, business, and regulatory perspectives. The event is taking place on July 1 and 2 in Santander and, for the fifth consecutive year, is being hosted at the UNEATLANTICO campus, an institution that is part of FUNIBER’s university network.
