EFE, the first news agency in Spanish and the fourth worldwide, has interviewed Dr. Santos Gracia, President of the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), who highlighted the Foundation’s educational model and its international university network, as well as the importance of fostering greater synergy between the public and private sectors to strengthen Spain’s educational and cultural initiatives in the international arena, especially in the countries that comprise the pan-Iberian or Iberophonic space.
During the interview, the President of FUNIBER underlined the Foundation’s work in promoting Spanish culture and education at a global level, highlighting the close collaboration with embassies and entities, both public and private. In addition, the educational model offered by FUNIBER, both in its face-to-face and virtual modality, for the bachelor and graduate academic programs was addressed. In this regard, Dr. Gracia emphasized the importance of the opening of the campus of the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana) in the Dominican Republic, which completes the triangle linking three continents: Africa, America, and Europe. This new campus joins other institutions of the FUNIBER Network that already offer face-to-face models: the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic) in Spain and the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza) in Angola.
