On June 3rd at 5:00 p.m. (Spain), the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) will host a webinar titled “BIM Methodology: An Opportunity for Professional Growth”, presented in Spanish by Rubén Diego Carrera and Jesús de Paz Sierra.
The event is held in collaboration with the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana of Puerto Rico (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI México), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).
The BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology has become one of the most in-demand skills in the construction industry, driving new opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and professional leadership.
This webinar will focus on the market opportunity presented by the growing demand for professionals specializing in BIM methodology. The speakers will present an overview of real-world projects completed in professional settings, including, in some cases, projects of international significance, with the aim of highlighting the practical application of this methodology in real-world settings and showcasing success stories that highlight its impact on the sector.
Jesús de Paz Sierra holds a Doctorate. in Civil Engineering and is a Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineer from the Universidad de Cantabria. He also holds a Master’s Degree in BIM Management for Civil Infrastructure from the Universidad de Cantabria and is an expert in project management using BIM methodology. Rubén Diego Carrera is a Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineer from the Universidad de Cantabria. His professional career began with research focused on the application of BIM methodology to the fields of engineering and project planning, resulting in several publications and conference presentations. He is currently the CEO of Star Project Consulting (SPC), an engineering consulting firm with extensive experience in BIM development for large-scale international projects.
Both speakers are directors of the new Master’s Degree in Consulting for Building Information Modeling (BIM), which is sponsored by FUNIBER and awarded by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO) and the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (UNINI México). The online graduate program is designed to train professionals capable of applying digital modeling methodologies to architecture, engineering, and infrastructure projects.
The conference is free and open to all those interested in the topic. It will be broadcast live in each country where FUNIBER operates. The broadcast schedules are available at this link.
