FUNIBER organizes the webinar “The origins of telecommunications policies (1969-1984)”

The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) will organize, next October 15 at 16:00 hours (GMT+2), the webinar in Spanish “The origins of telecommunications policies (1969-1984)”.

The session will be given by Miguel López Coronado and is part of the Jean Monnet Chair “Telecommunications Policy in the EU and Information Society” which is held by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and is facing its last academic year this 2024/2025.

The single market, a fundamental objective of the European Economic Community Treaty, would encourage the development of a standardization policy in the telecommunications sector that would be established in parallel with the commitments of the 1979 General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), created to promote international trade and eliminate technical barriers.

The event is held in collaboration with the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de Puerto Rico (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).

The conference is free and open to all those interested in the subject, and will be broadcast live in each country where FUNIBER has presence. The broadcasting schedules can be consulted in this link. To participate, it is necessary to register:
