The final round of the International Pre-University Prize – FUNIBER Research was held on April 21st, featuring the oral defense of the finalist projects. The meeting was held virtually with the attendance of all the students of the finalist projects, accompanied by their professors, as well as the jury and advisors of the universities that are part of the contest’s organization.
Each project was given 10 minutes for its presentation, after which the jury members offered general comments on the presentations. The following participants defended their projects in the order listed below:

Defense 3: Determinants of Access to Dental Services and Basic Oral Hygiene Resources in Rural Communities of Azuay – Unidad Educativa Particular Borja – Prof. Maria Eulalia Vargas Sicha (Ecuador)
Defense 4: Sustainable Technology: Sustainable Technology: ECOBOT and School Waste Management at Colegio Americano de Cali – Colegio Americano De Cali – Prof. Juan Sebastian Cardona, Runner (Colombia)
Defense 5: Academic Stigmatization in Technical Health Institutes: Challenges, Psychosocial Impacts, and Proposals for Promoting an Inclusive Educational Environment – Instituto Técnico Privado de Saúde Vitalis – Prof. Isaías Canutula Loth Cossengue (Angola)
Congratulations to all finalists! Each project presented showcased students’ hard work and social commitment and serves as a testament to the participants’ motivation to conduct research and share their findings.
We would also like to congratulate the faculty members for promoting research, providing academic guidance, supporting student initiatives, and encouraging students to participate in the contest.
The jury now faces the difficult task of selecting the winners. The decision will be announced on April 29th via our communication channels.
