The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) will organize, on April 28th at 17:00 hours (Spain), the webinar in English language “Teacher academies, 3 years working for a Europe of Education” which will be given by Dr. Thomas Prola and Maria Steger.
The event is held in collaboration with the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de Puerto Rico (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).
Thomas Prola holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB). He holds a Master’s degree in Education and Teaching in Virtual Environment. He is also the co-coordinator of the Erasmus + Digital Academy in teaching practice for a seamless transition from pre-service to in-service (DigitalTA) project. Maria Steger has 15 years of teaching and research experience at the University of Regensburg and the University of Munich (LMU) in Germany. She is the scientific coordinator of the Erasmus + project Meta-Scientific Literacies in the (Mis-) Information Age (SciLMi)
Both projects are part of the action “Erasmus+ Teacher Academies” with the objective of offering support to teachers during the beginning of their careers and strengthening their professional development.
Dr. Prola will show the results of the DigitalTA project and the main functions of the virtual platform created for this purpose. This tool emerges as a space where teachers can share with each other their challenges, reflections, resources and best practices. Maria will share the vision of the Erasmus+ Teacher Academy SciLMi and highlight how it supports teachers to empower students to navigate with confidence in a world increasingly challenged by socio-scientific misinformation.
The conference is free and open to all those interested in the subject, and will be broadcast live in each country where FUNIBER has presence. The broadcasting schedules can be consulted in this link.
