Next August 6th at 6:00 PM (Argentina), the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) will organize a Webinar on “Teaching Challenges in the 21st Century” presented in Spanish by Delma Cabrera.
The event is held in collaboration with the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de Puerto Rico (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).
Based on deep thinking on how teaching has changed in recent years, the aim is to contextualize the teacher’s role in a world that is constantly changing. The main current challenges of the profession, associated with technologies, diversity in the classroom, continuing education, and teacher wellbeing, will be discussed below. Towards the end, strategies that can help meet these challenges will be discussed.
Delma Cabrera is director of the Teacher Training Institute of San José (Instituto de Formación Docente de San José), under the Education Training Council (Consejo de Formación en Educación) of Uruguay. She teaches in the Fundamentals of Biology Section of the Education Training Council. Regarding her academic achievements, she holds a Doctorate in Education, a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Didactics, and a Master’s Degree in Education, Society, and Politics.
