FUNIBER, UNEATLANTICO and UNIC join the pink campaign against breast cancer

FUNIBER participates in the international campaign against breast cancer, held on October 19 with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of early prevention for the treatment of this disease.

Students, professors and officials of the university network in which FUNIBER participates have collaborated by dressing in pink or wearing the ribbon that symbolizes the fight against breast cancer.

Agreement for joint actions

In addition, the European University of the Atlantic joined the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) to carry out actions that can bring benefits to cancer patients. The head of Institutional Relations at UNEATLANTICO, Elena Palacio, stated that “from this moment on, the University remains at the disposal of the Association to continue increasing the actions to be carried out jointly, as has been done on past occasions”.

Recommendations to the population

In Angola, the International University of Cuanza is preparing actions for the month of October with Nursing students, accompanied by teachers, to raise awareness among various people, especially women, about the importance of preventing the disease, with some recommendations on healthy habits and prevention. In addition, tests will be conducted so that they can learn to perform self-examinations.
