Between April 23 and 25, attendees of the 7th International Congress on Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention in Physical Activity and Sport, and the 5th Congress on Health and Physical Exercise, will be able to enjoy lectures related to the Performance area.
Dr. Igor Jukic will inaugurate this series of conferences with a lecture in which he will focus on the approach to injury prevention in football, with aims to achieve greater availability of players in the field.
Afterwards, attendees will be able to enjoy the conference “Training Control in Professional Soccer” as given by Dr. Marcos Chena.
Dr. Angel Aceña will then continue the topic of injury prevention and reduction.
On April 24, Dr. Giampiero Ascenzi’s lecture will focus on unilateral and bilateral strength training in youth football.
On the closing day of the congress, Dr. Alberto Méndez will present the attendees with a case study on the experience of the Qatar national team in these two elements: prevention and rehabilitation of injuries. The theoretical and methodological framework will be discussed, as well as the process being carried out in the implementation of prevention, and rehabilitation strategies in professional football players will also be illustrated with concrete examples.
Lastly, the last lecture of the Congress will be that of Dr. Paolo Gaudino, which will focus on sand surface training.
On the previous weekends of April 9-11 and April 16-18, attendees will be able to enjoy presentations from the Recovery and Prevention areas, respectively.
The Congress is jointly organized by the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), and Jam Sports, as a result of the collaboration agreement signed between the three institutions.
