The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), launches on November 7th the 3rd edition of the contest “Solidary Writing” whose objective is to promote and inspire solidary and transforming actions
Being the “Solidary Writing” previous editions a total success, it was possible to help help NGOS from Brazil, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador such as APAE-BH, TECHO, CESAL and Centro-Dia para Idosos Casa do Vovô Feliz. Therefore, FUNIBER launches, for the third consecutive year, the contest to continue the promotion of solidary actions that would solve social problems.
As in previous editions, the contest expects students and alumni to write a short story with an extension between 350 and 1000 characters that relates the student’s area of study to solidarity. The writing will need to be published in a blog or digital platform.
The contest will run with the same dynamics as in previous editions. Among the texts received, FUNIBER will select 10 semifinalists and publish their writings in the blog www.estudiarenfuniber.com, which will be subjected to popular vote by Facebook likes. The 3 most voted projects will qualify for the final round. In this last round, a second popular vote will decide the contest’s winner.
The winner and the runner-up of the 3th edition of the “Solidary Writing” contest will receive €1000 and €500 respectively, which may be donated to an NGO of their choice. In this way, the winners will become solidarity ambassadors in their country.
The deadline for registration and the submission of the writings ends on November 27th.
