The MLS Sport Research journal, sponsored by FUNIBER, published its first issue in June.
MLS Sport Research will be published twice a year in Spanish and English but will also accept and publish articles in Portuguese.
MLS Sport Research aims to publish original research and review articles in basic, applied, and methodological areas that contribute to progress in the field of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences.
Specifically, according to one of the editors-in-chief of the journal, Dr. Álvaro Velarde, the publication will focus on different areas of sport: health, physical education, prevention and rehabilitation of injuries, first aid, new technologies, physiology, nutrition, psychology, leadership and management, training, and sports performance.
Submitted manuscripts undergo a peer review system based on anonymity.
The articles that make up this first issue are varied and with research focused on different topics, such as a study of dancing in Alzheimer patients or an analysis of the effect of the menstrual cycle on the physical and psychological state of an active woman.
The journal is edited by “Multi-Lingual Scientific (MLS) Journals,” an open access publisher based in Santander, Spain.
In addition to the support of FUNIBER, the journal is sponsored by the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), the International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Mexico), the International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico), the International University Foundation of Colombia (UNINCOL), and the International University of Cuanza (UNIC).
