The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) launches its 2nd International Photography Contest, PHotoFUNIBER’20. Registering to submit the photo will be open from February 10 to March 2 in the contest website: www.photofuniber.com
Participation is open to anyone of legal age residing in one of the countries where FUNIBER has offices.
Each participant may only submit 1 photograph for the contest, being an original photograph that has not been prized in other competitions or used for commercial purposes.
There are 4 categories you may participate in the Contest:
- NATURE: Photos of natural surroundings, fauna, flora, water, among other natural elements.
- HERITAGE: Photos of cultural elements such as architecture, dance, gastronomy, artworks, music, etc.
- PHOTOJOURNALISM: Photos that express human complexities through people, events and actions that represent such human values as solidarity, cooperation, education and personal development.
- ABSTRACT Artistic and creative photos where the photo expresses a message, with or without digital and artistic manipulation.
The contest includes 2 prizes for each category; a jury prize of 400 € and an 80% scholarship to study one of the postgraduate programs that FUNIBER sponsors; another for the photograph with the most public votes, awarded with 300 € and a 50% scholarship to study one of the postgraduate programs that FUNIBER sponsors.
Two special prizes will also be awarded for undergraduate students from the European University of the Atlantic and another two for graduate students with FUNIBER scholarships.
The winning photos will be announced to the public on May 4.
The winning photos will be exhibited in the Exhibition Hall of the European University of the Atlantic in Santander (Spain). Itinerant exhibitions will also be held of the awarded photographs throughout some of the countries where FUNIBER has offices, in its Cultural Works.
The contest is supported by the collaboration of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), the International Iberoamerican University (UNINI-Mexico), the International University Foundation in Colombia (UNINCOL), and the International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico).
With initiatives as this contest, FUNIBER continues supporting the dissemination of culture, art and knowledge, as is the main objective of the FUNIBER Cultural Works program.
