The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) will organize, next December 17 at 16:00 hours (GMT+1), the webinar in Spanish “The second revision of the Telecommunications Policy. Artificial Intelligence”.
The session will be given by Miguel López Coronado and Senén Barro Ameneiro and is part of the Jean Monnet Chair “Telecommunications Policy in the EU and Information Society” which is held by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and is facing its last academic year this 2024/2025.
During 2005, the European Commission had been obliged to report on the evolution of the regulatory framework for electronic communications, generating the i2010 initiative that established as objectives a single European information space that would offer affordable and secure broadband communications, results in research and innovation, and the provision of high quality public services that promote quality of life. The session will also focus on Artificial Intelligence and its European regulation.
The event is held in collaboration with the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de Puerto Rico (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).
The conference is free and open to all those interested in the subject, and will be broadcast live in each country where FUNIBER has presence. The broadcasting schedules can be consulted in this link. To participate, it is necessary to register:
If you are interested in receiving the complete training of the chair, you will find more information in this link. Students in the program must complete practical sessions focused on gamification and mobile application design to receive their accreditation.
The objectives of the Jean Monnet Chairs, which are specialized teaching positions in European Union studies for university professors and collaborating teachers, are: to improve the teaching of EU studies through specialized programs; to conduct, monitor and supervise research on EU-related topics at all levels of education; to train and advise the next generation of teachers and researchers; and to provide qualified guidance to future professionals in European affairs.
