The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), through the Social Action area, and in collaboration with the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Iberoamerican University, UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA) organize the Campaña Solidaria Internacional de recogida de juguetes (International Solidarity Campaign to collect toys).
The objective is to mobilize our community, including students, scholarship holders, collaborators, faculty, employees, and family members to donate toys that will be destined to children in situations of social vulnerability.
The campaign seeks to stimulate solidarity and volunteerism in our community to reinforce everyone’s commitment to society.
Toys are tools that contribute to children’s development: cognitive, physical, emotional, and social. As stated in the Rights of the Child, play and recreation are recognized as fundamental to the growth of healthy children.
How to participate?
The collection of toys will take place from November 27 to December 8, 2023.
FUNIBER makes available its headquarters so that people interested in participating can donate toys. The universities in the network are also organizing spaces for collection. See map below for location addresses:
Toys should be new or used if in good condition, preferably educational, eco-friendly, and non-violent.
With the donation, each branch and university will make the delivery to a local institution that works with the social care of children in vulnerable situations.
