FUNIBER, together with the Universidad Europea del Atlántico and the Universidad Internacional do Cuanza, celebrate International Women’s Day and congratulate all those who managed to overcome difficulties and achieve their goals.
We also encourage women to continue following their paths, encouraging them to continue betting on personal and social growth.
Encouragement messages
We took advantage of the date to gather some messages from students and teachers to encourage women to continue fighting for equity and to achieve the goals they set for themselves. We believe that education and training are powerful tools for everyone’s development.
From the Universidad Europea del Atlántico, Dr. Pilar Mier, professor at the university and director of R&D projects at the CITICAN Research Center, advises on overcoming fears and insecurities.
From Brazil, Daiana Paixão, a former FUNIBER scholarship holder who studied the Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico, encourages women to continue treading the path, without giving up on the goals and objectives set.
At the International University of Cuanza, in Angola, student Avelina Siquete celebrates the day by highlighting women’s abilities to imagine the future and change reality.
And from Syria, but living in Austria, Kholoud Kanjo, recently graduated from the University Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics to Teaching English as a Foreign Language at UNEATLANTICO, with a FUNIBER scholarship, gives us an important lesson in courage and joy in overcoming adversity.
May this day be just a reminder that we all deserve full development, no matter what the circumstances. Women, let nothing stop you!
