Successful participation in the first phase dissemination of the UNESCO study on the management of COVID-19

The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) is participating in a study on citizens’ response evaluation before Covid-19, in relation to the ethical recommendations as proposed by UNESCO.

The study is based on the “Joint Declaration on COVID-19: Ethical considerations from a global perspective” which proposes 11 ethical recommendations on the global response to COVID-19.

The research group, which was coordinated by the National Center for Documentation in Bioethics in Spain, developed the study with the aim of understanding the public perception on the COVID-19 response, using the mentioned Declaration as a reference.

To date, almost 3,000 questionnaires have been completed in full, submitted from 22 different countries.

In addition to the answers in the questionnaire, many participants shared their personal experiences, which are very valuable and may themselves be the object of a more in-depth analysis.

Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, and Peru account for 50% of the submissions collected. FUNIBER’s great international network is enabling the massive collection of data.

The study continues, and more answers are expected in the coming weeks. Participation is anonymous and voluntary and consists in answering a questionnaire developed based on 11 recommendations.

We encourage everyone who wants to participate, to do so via the following link:
