The President of FUNIBER, Dr. Santos Gracia Villar, participated in the inauguration of the Campus of the International University of Cuanza, in the city of Cuito, Angola, yesterday, October 5.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of Angola, João Lourenço, and the Spanish Ambassador to Angola, Dr. Manuel Hernández Ruigómez.

The inauguration ceremony, which coincided with the opening of the academic year of the higher education system in Angola, was also attended by the rector of the European University of the Atlantic (Spain), Rubén Calderón, and the rector of the International Iberoamerican University (Mexico), Dr. Luis Dzul, as well as FUNIBER executives.

The International University of Kwanza is part of the network of universities in which FUNIBER participates, and is a Spanish cooperation project that aims to provide comprehensive training based on excellence and committed to people.

Among the differential aspects of the UNIC, within its learning model, is the teaching of the Spanish language in all its courses in a bilingual manner to provide linguistic competencies to those students who will study a double degree with the European University of the Atlantic (Santander), in Spain.

In this first year, UNIC already has 10 degrees as part of its educational offerings, namely: Faculty of Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Business Administration and Management, Organizational Psychology, Law and Journalism) and Faculty of Health Sciences (Nursing).
