FUNIBER launches its 1st Photo Contest, PHotoFUNIBER’19

The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) launches its 1st International Photo Contest, PhotoFUNIBER’19, as of February 25th, 2019.

This contest will reward those photos that have the best assessment from the Jury and from the popular vote.

Any person of legal age living in any of the countries where Funiber is present will be able to participate.

In the contest, there are 4 categories:

  • NATURE: Nature environments photos, fauna, flora, and other nature elements.
  • HERITAGE: Photos of cultural elements such as architecture, dance, gastronomy, craft, music, etc.
  • PHOTOJOURNALISM: Photos that show the human complexities through people, facts and actions that represent human values, such as solidarity, cooperation, education and personal development.
  • CREATIVE: Artistic and creative photos in which the photo has a message, with or without digital or handmade manipulation.

 

This contest will distribute 2 prizes for each category; a prize from the jury, with €400 and a 80% scholarship to study one of the postgraduate programs promoted by FUNIBER; and another prize for the photo that receives the most votes from the public, with €300 and a 50% scholarship to study one of the postgraduate programs promoted by FUNIBER.

In addition, two special prizes will be awarded to students of any degree from the European University of the Atlantic and two more will be awarded to postgraduate students who have received a FUNIBER scholarship.

The winning photos will be exhibited in the exhibition room of the European University of the Atlantic, in Santander (Spain). Moreover, touring exhibitions of the winning photos are foreseen in some of the countries where FUNIBER is present, through the Cultural Work.

This contest is in cooperation with the European University of the Atlantic, the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (UNINCOL) and the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (UNINI Puerto Rico).

Through initiatives such as this contest, FUNIBER shows its commitment to culture, art and knowledge dissemination, which is essential in the Corporate Social Responsibility policy of the Foundation and the main objective of the Cultural Work.
