Olympics FUNIBER contest finishes with the victory of the Mozambique’s student Samuel Winesse, with the work entitled “O esporte e educação em valores: Resolução e transformação de conflitos no ámbito dos Jogos Olímpicos”
The Rio 2016 Olympics finished on August 21st and one day later, the winner of the FUNIBER Olympics was revealed; this contest consisted of writing a project in which students and alumni who were granted a scholarship by the Foundation shared their vision of the Rio 2016 Olympics and linked that own vision with their study program.
Samuel Winesse, a student of Mozambique, is the winner of the FUNIBER Olympics thanks to more than 1600 votes from the FUNIBER community. Second position was for a student of Bolivia, Dick Octavio Oros, with the project “Política y Pundonor: Phelps y Bolt en el infierno” and third position was for student of Ecuador, Antonio Rodríguez, with the project ”Mi último esfuerzo”. In the final phase, more than 2700 votes were counted, which decided the three first positions.
The prize for the winner is a 80% Scholarship to study any of our Master’s programs sponsored by FUNIBER and a Tablet, with which the student will be able to access the study materials from anywhere. At the same time, the second and third position will be awarded respectively with a Tablet and a FUNIBER merchandising pack.
FUNIBER wants to congratulate the winners and the more than 200 participants in the FUNIBER Olympics, as well as wants to thank everybody who, with their votes, contributed to decide which were the best projects, those that had the aim of analyzing and considering all that surrounds this big sports event.
