FUNIBER awards the prize to its contest “FUNIBER Opinions”

On November 9, FUNIBER Panama awarded the prize to the contest “FUNIBER Opinions” to Eyleen Montero, holder of one of the Foundation’s scholarships

The award was presented during a breakfast meeting that took place in a hotel from the capital of Panama, by the Executive Director of FUNIBER in Panama, Gregorio Urriola.

The student of FUNIBER’s Master’s degree in Biological-Natural Medicine participated with the text “FUNIBER, a window to new opportunities for professional training, connecting two continents through the use of a virtual platform”. The essay obtained 2,466 votes, which gave her the first prize that included a Foundation’s scholarship of 80% and an e-reader.

During the event, the Executive Director FUNIBER in Panama urged “professionals in Panama to continue building their future by means of FUNIBER and its network of universities”. Likewise, Elyeen stressed the advantages that distance learning entail for those interested in professional and personal growth.

Other attendees to the even were Nuria Araguás, Executive Secretary of the Council of Rectors in Panama; Elizabeth Pérez, Academic Coordinator of the Institute of Languages and Technology from the Specialized University of the Americas (UDELAS); Cristóbal Alveo, Administrative Secretary of the Deanery of Postgraduate Studies from UDELAS; as well as other representatives of FUNIBER in Panama.

With this contest, FUNIBER aimed to allow the community to share their opinions about what they liked the most about distance learning, how they are applying the knowledge they acquired to their professional activity, or the benefits they have obtained, among many others.

Furthermore, the contest “FUNIBER Opinions” represented a new opportunity to promote education by writing a short essay.
