FUNIBER begins the second edition of the CONTEST “Solidary Writing”

On November 9, the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER) will begin the second edition of the CONTEST “Solidary Writing”, which will be spread through the different communication channels used by the Foundation.

Being the first edition a success, with 200 students participating, the Foundation launches the second edition of this contest with the aim of continuing its work to inspire current and former FUNIBER students and make them think about solidarity.

With this initiative, FUNIBER expects current and former students to write a short story (between 350 and 1,000 characters), which must be posted on any blog or digital platform, related to the topic of volunteering. The final goal is to inspire transforming actions that would solve social problems.

Among the texts received, FUNIBER will choose ten semifinalists, which will be posted on the blog www.estudiarenfuniber.com to be subject to popular vote by Facebook likes. The three writings with the most votes will qualify for the big final, in which the writings will be subject to popular vote, again, to choose the winning story.

The winner and the runner-up of the 2nd edition of this contest will have the opportunity to become solidarity ambassadors of their countries, as they will receive €1,000 and €500, respectively, to be donated to an NGO of their choice.

This way, FUNIBER not only promotes solidarity actions among the community, but it also extends its compromise to social responsibility by adding solidarity values, considering the needs and challenges faced by society.

The deadline for registration and for the submission of writings is November 29.
